I have no experience with cooking, is that OK?
Yes. These courses are designed for beginners and experienced kitchen users. You will find a hidden talent I'm sure.

Do I have to pay for ingredients?
No. All ingredients used for the recipes you will make with your tutor are included in your course fees.

These courses are designed people who do not wish to be just learning in a classroom. This program is designed for you to learn a new skill from your host while homestaying. Your host, although not a professional, will have a thorough understanding and a passion for the alpha activity you have chosen. This host is hand pick by our local coordinators to make sure the experience is memorable and educational.

Example Program: Cooking
Enjoy learning about and making some traditional western and New Zealand dishes. Make a recipe book to treasure for life.
Homestay plus Alpha course hours.  Lesson times will include preparation of raw materials and ingredients, shopping and understanding the recipes.

Sample Plan　 Homestay Plus 4 nights 5 days
Day 1	AM	Arrive Auckland Airport Shuttle bus to Tauranga enjoying farmland scenery on the way.
	PM	Arrive Tauranga Meet Lets Homestay staff and discuss schedule during an orientation. Transfer to host family's home and commence the homelesson program
Day 2	AM	Alpha lesson 3 hours.  Start your cook book, shopping with host and make a cheese scones.
	PM	Free time,  Visit local winery
Day 3	AM	Alpha lesson 3 hours.  Make a traditional Pavalova desert and decorate.
	PM	Free time,  Shopping in town
Day 4	FD	Day trip to Rotorua Take the Intercity Bus to Rotorua.  Enjoy the Agrodome farmshow, Maori cultural centre, see geysers and visit the kiwi enclosure.
Day 5	AM	Depart hosts home Shuttle bus to Auckland International Airport.
