Mount Maunganui is one of New Zealand's favourite location and holiday spot.  Kilometres of white sandy beaches and quality surf it is one of our better known surf beaches.

The Town of Mount Maunganui grows 5 fold in population in the summer months with the camping ground at the foot of the "The Mount"

Next door to the camping ground is the famous Mount Maunganui Salt Water Hot Pools.  The pools are thermally heated are very relaxing.

The Mount (Otherwise known as "Mauao") is an extinct volcano standing at 230m above sea level.  A very pleasant hike can be had to the summit taking about 40 minutes.  Views from the summit are spectacular with 360 degree views of the South Pacific, Mount Maunganui Town and beach, Papamoa beach, port of Tauranga, Tauranga and Tauranga Harbour.  A must for every visitor to the area.

The Harbour boasts The Port of Tauranga, one of New Zealand's busiest.  It is also frequented by cruise ships throughout the summer months.
